WSC Rowdies
Halftime Strategy Session

The Washington Soccer Club (WSC) was founded in 1990.  Since that time, it has had travel teams play in and win all divisions of National Capitol Soccer League (NCSL).  WSC has sent 6 players from those teams to MLS and numerous more to Division I soccer programs.  Three WSC players, one girl and two boys, have been selected to US National Teams.  In this regard, the first American to score a hat-trick in international competition was Judah Cooks - who began with Soccer on the Hill and then played with the WSC Lancers, the club's first 1st Division team.

WSC girls teams have played in WAGSL since 2000. This past summer, the DC Blast took a well-publicized trip to South Africa to introduce girls there to soccer and to work on increasing AIDS awareness among young South African girls.  WSC also has teams participating in the Old Dominion Soccer League.

In August 2009, the WSC assumed the organizational leadership of the Ward 4 Soccer League.  The league is now the Washington Soccer Club Recreational League. The WSC is a founding partner of the Ward 4 Soccer League.
